Crémant de Bourgogne

Crémant de Bourgogne is a sparkling wine made in Burgundy with traditional Burgundian grape varieties. The PDO as we know it was created in 1975, however, the crafting of sparkling wines in Burgundy goes back to the beginning of the 19th century.

Different grape varieties are allowed in order to make Crémant de Bourgogne like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay or Pinot Gris for example. At Domaine de la Creuze Noire we exclusively use Chardonnay grapes. Using only white grapes to make a Crémant makes it a “Blanc de Blancs” Crémant de Bourgogne. Our sparkling wines are entirely made in our estate following the traditional method which allows us to obtain a lively, fresh result with fine, melting bubbles.
